Hey Wesley (and ccd to Webcraft list),
I think a course on SQL is a great idea and has excellent overlaps to
general technology as well as School of Webcraft, especialy if learners
worked through practicals using MySQL installs.
I just sent off a
tweet<http://twitter.com/#%21/pipstar/status/86325769688715264>about
this - to get extra coverage you could retweet, write a blog post
about how you want to learn SQL etc and inspire some other people to create
a related course.
You might be better off creating a course / study group about Databases
yourself and inviting people to join that. There are some great open
resources about Database Development that would be suitable to work
through. I'd divide the course into tasks by using each set of lecture
notes as a core reading.
Try these open course materials:
- The database development life cycle -

- Database Systems
http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-830-database-systems-fall-2010/
- Database, Internet, and Systems Integration Technologies -
http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/civil-and-environmental-engineering/1-264j-database-internet-and-systems-integration-technologies-fall-2006/
Can anyone else suggest useful resources for learning Database Development?
Best,
Pippa
