I think these are wonderful.
In terms of getting buy in from a larger group - one of the things we tend
to use at P2PU is the notion of "rough consensus". If you send an
idea/design/opinion/proposal out, give it a couple of days to circulate, and
nobody comes back and says that they hate it or have major ideological
problems with it, then it's safe to assume that people are happy and agree.
