[p2pu-webcraft] How can we best use HTML5 video (Universal Subtitles, Popcorn etc) for awesome Webcraft content?

Yes to HTML5 vs Flash. Yes to guidelines. I have a few questions so could
submit them to someone that does a lot of video. I've started exploring
screencasting on my computer but so far it's been frustrating.
I know I found it useful to see Andy go through some coding questions via
Big Blue Button. We know we're working on embedding but maybe I'm wondering
how to make it most usable too.
#1 is more "Here's a video but I'm repeating almost everything below"
#2 is more "Here's a video and my slides/text/links are on the right"
#1 would allow very easily for those that don't have the bandwidth for the
video or have issues seeing it or hearing it to be able to still get all the
information with the "Lesson in text" below it.
#2: We'd need more room for #2 so I took out the study group
descript/image/etc but left navigation in with the crumbs. Still seems small
in my whiteboard world. I like #2 though. I like #2 even more if the right
side that's syncd to the video includes a "Now, you try" done with jsfiddle
or such. Then once it's done, the video can resume and show what it should
look like.
I haven't done a lot of HTML5 video making (none), but do remember my days
as a Flash developer. One could do something like that in flash, so I would
think it's possible in HTML5.
Both examples can become very long pages, especially after adding comments.
