I was just reading your thread, John! It actually reminded me to write
this.

For example, we are making several substantial OERs within the current
Elementary Math course, such as a list of open-ended math questions. I can
imagine people visiting this content will want in. It would be nice to have
a big shiny LIKE button. With a social feature, as in people's portraits,
"235 people like this course - see all" and also subscribes people to
notifications about similar courses.

Do you think this functionality (notifications of future courses) can be
added to the Follow button? Can it turn into "Like" button - since about
half of the people in my courses get "Follow" and "Participate" confused?
