+1 for hackathons! +1 for weekends being easier. yay :).
wrt grad students i was hoping that they (cough, we/me) might be able to
undertake some code writing under the auspices of "research" by being
principled about it :p. don't have a specific suggestion now but will keep
that in mind moving forward.)
