[p2pu-dev] Character count, confusingly, counts html

Today I spent some long minutes trying to figure out how my character count
got to "over 9000" (900, really) when I added just a short phrase. Turns
out it counts html code as characters. This is confusing and probably
against the intention of limiting the space on the sidebar.
