Again, thanks everyone for chiming in here. As Philipp said, the community
has prioritized the home page behind a few other things for the moment but
it's good to have all this input now. When we get back to the homepage
project I'll be sure to incorporate as much of this as possible into the
next edition for community review.
Few responses to people's comments:
@Dan - A/B testing - as part of the new metrics stuff that we're
integrating collecting data for A/B tests will be very easy for us. We've
got the framework in place. It's a possibility, and I would like to use
data to drive decisions as much as possible, but I'm not sure that we have
enough volume yet for statistical significance
@Oliver & Joao - Thanks for your input beyond the homepage, I would like to
get you two to be as involved as possible in the UX process as much as you
are willing. I've sent a separate email to arrange a time to talk.
@Bekka & Jessy - Agree about the bias, I think that including some more
diverse sources would be good and de-emphasizing a bit would help.
