[p2pu-dev] [p2pu-qa] New question: Notifications on new system on P2PU

I see notifications options for: - A user messages me on p2pu.org. -
Someone starts following me. - Someone starts following one of the
study groups, courses, ... that I am organizing.

Right now the organizers see less configuration options for the email
notifications than the participants. Originally there was only one
organizer and it made sense not to allow them ignore the participants.
Now there can be several so the chances of having an scenario in which
not all of them are in charge of keeping up to date about what is
happening are bigger. Also, we can now handle functionality
differences between courses vs. study groups (other kinds of learning
projects are named differently -- organizer can provide a desc of the
meaning of the other -- but work like a study group. at least until we
identify a high demand in a particular kind of learning project) so we
can even consider that in study groups there is no need to guarantee
that at least one organizer is receiving all the updates, and have a
different requirement for courses (maybe that not all of them can
optout of email notifications at the same time).

Participants seem to also be getting email notifications for activity
wall posts even if they are not marked important. Is this a bug?

Depends. Participants will see for each group (at
http://p2pu.org/en/profile/edit/settings/):

Send me an email when...

__ The wall of NAME_OF_STUDY_GROUP  is updated (this setting does not
include important updates for which notifications can not be turn
off).

__ The content (e.g. tasks, comments, ...) of NAME_OF_STUDY_GROUP is updated.

If a participant have both options uncheck and still receives
notifications for things like someone posted a comment as
NAME_OF_SOME_TASK then it is a bug.
