No worries!  The current address is  &quot;School of Webcraft Discussion List&quot; &lt;<a href="mailto:p2pu-webcraft@lists.p2pu.org">p2pu-webcraft@lists.p2pu.org</a>&gt;. <br><br>It will probably get more responses if you send it and then I chime in. Lately the discussion list has primarily been messages from me and noone else seems to be starting conversations. I wonder if we made the correct decision moving away from the large Google Group.<br>
<br>I can also send it to the announcements list? I need to do a Webcraft update and will include it in that text today.<br><br>Pippa<br>

Hey Pippa -<div><br></div><div>I posted <a href="http://erinknight.com/post/6297138742/new-badges-and-assessments-help-needed" target="_blank">a blog post</a> about the new badges and the help that we need for assessment. Can you out some version of the email below to the webcraft list? I don&#39;t know which list it belongs on at this point so if you could send it out or direct me, that would be great. </div>

<div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Erin</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Hey Webcrafters -<div><br></div><div>We are working on finalizing additional badges to add to the current portfolio and we want your feedback and insights on the assessments behind them.</div>

<div><br></div><div>As many of you know from previous emails, we are attempting to create an alternative system of accreditation and credentialing, where you can participate in SoW courses/study groups and then take assessments to demonstrate the skills you have learned. Successful completion of the the assessments earns you badges which you can then use to show off your skill set to peers, potential employers, formal institutions, etc. </div>

<div><br></div><div><div>The important part is to make sure that the assessments behind the badges are appropriate and effective at demonstrating the right skill. We don&#39;t want something to easy or too hard, but that&#39;s tough to tell since we aren&#39;t experts in most (or all of this).<b> So we need your help. </b></div>

</div><div><br></div><div>Please see this blog post for all the details: <a href="http://erinknight.com/post/6297138742/new-badges-and-assessments-help-needed" target="_blank">http://erinknight.com/post/6297138742/new-badges-and-assessments-help-needed</a></div>

</div><div><br></div><div>But to summarize here, <a href="http://etherpad.mozilla.com:9000/phase2-badges" target="_blank">check out the current working plan</a> and help us:</div><div><ol><li><b>fill in the blanks</b> (we need ideas for challenges/exercises/projects for basic python and basic jquery)</li>

<li><b>review existing assessments</b> (do the challenges we have outlined appropriately capture the right skill at the right level?)</li><li><b>review rubrics</b> (what should the work be evaluated against? what should the submitted code include to qualify as sufficiently skilled?)</li>

</ol><div>You can make suggestions and give feedback on this list, in <a href="http://etherpad.mozilla.com:9000/phase2-badges" target="_blank">the etherpad</a> or as a comment on <a href="http://erinknight.com/post/6297138742/new-badges-and-assessments-help-needed" target="_blank">the blog entry</a>. </div>
