[p2pu-dev] Debate on teaching ICT in the UK

There's a big debate in the UK at the moment about how ICT is taught in
schools, and why the current approach may not be working. I'm not sure that
government's plans are any better than the status quo, but the debate has
been nicely described on the Guardian. (

And this live discussion (
highlights, for me, what the problems with teaching web skills are
(although they don't call them that) and why the old system doesn't work.
Even more interesting, I think all the people involved kind
of tiptoe around the concepts of challenges and the P2PU model, but either
can't articulate it, or it's still just a a bit of a stretch for them...
Either way, it seems the crisis in teaching web skills at tertiary
education levels has reached secondary schools as well.
