[p2pu-dev] question about readability of text on the site - font color too light?

I've been spending a lot of time on the site recently and noticed that
reading longer text is quite hard on the eyes.

Would it make sense to darken the default font color, so there is more
contrast between the background and the font? Are there other (better) ways
of increasing readability?
