[p2pu-dev] our site should look more like this

The genius of that page is that it's based on CSS Zen Garden: http://csszengarden.com/

The idea is to see how much a site can change with just CSS, using the same semantic markup. This guy managed to use only CSS to make it absolutely disgusting. And by disgusting, I mean beautiful.
